Eeyore, from Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne, was my favorite character of the book. A dark cloud followed Eeyore around and added to the pessimism and gloom that his character experienced, but he still exuded wisdom and was always kind.
There are days that feel like the cloud won’t leave, but trying to remain positive certainly helps shift the energy from rain to shine. A star shines like a lightbulb above the donkey’s head, a symbol of the light that positive thinking and connection to others can bring, allowing him to overcome the gloom.

Print Edition: Donkey's Good Day
This piece is a "relief engraving.” It is in the block print or relief family of printmaking, which refers to two surfaces, one lower than the other, so that the highest surface prints. I hand carve each image with small but tough tools called burins, or gravers. The remaining surface is rolled with ink and pressed through the printing press. Each print taken from the plate is part of an edition, and numbered. My limited editions are always under 100 since they are inked and cranked by hand on my printing press. Printed on 100% Cotton Rag Paper.
