Topo Nest Series: Cornucopia
The "Nest" series uses topographic maps as a background but involves birds and their nests as symbols for freedom, flock & family, and nest as a giving home.
These pieces include hand carved relief engravings of birds and animals reclaiming the landscape as they are compositionally set on top of the map, some as markers for sites both sacred and profane, and others as guardians of the land.
Artwork is 28"h x 22"w mixed media collage and relief engraving on topo map mounted on cotton rag paper. Framed in Natural Wood shadowbox frame, 28"h x 22"w.
Availability: This piece is on display at Denver International Airport through October of 2026, but is available for sale. Please use the contact form if you have questions.
